A coastal low pressure system and potential heavy rainfall over the August 8 - 9 weekend may cause flooding. The Southern Highlands and Southern Tablelands are expected to received moderate to heavy rainfall. Residents are to expect cold, cloudy, and windy weather. Temperatures are expected to plummet to four to eight degrees below average. A flood watch has been issued for the Shoalhaven River.
